It’s summer, so it’s time for family fun in the sun! Recently, we wrote about all the fun things you can do within the community as a WaterGrass resident. Today we want to focus on fun cheap or free family activities you can do in and around Wesley Chapel.

Every year, Family Friendly Tampa Bay rounds up all the fun, inexpensive family fun to be had in the Tampa area. From their roundup, we’ve pulled the top 7 activities near WaterGrass!

1. Free Kids Movies at Cobb Theatres

3. Summer LanePass at Pinchasers

Who doesn’t love a good game—or 15—of bowling. Students from kindergarten through seniors in high school are eligible to purchase a summer lane pass. And if you use up all of your games, you can reload $10 for 10 more games! This deal’s a strike!

4. Cool Off Ice Skating at the new Florida Hospital Center Ice

During the heat of summer, sometimes nothing sounds better than being surrounded by ice. This brand new facility offers four full-sized rinks and one kid-sized rink. It’s the largest hockey complex in the Southeast United States!

5. Free First Tuesdays at the Glazer Children’s Museum

Cost: Free on the First Tuesday of the month from 12-7 PM. (Normally $9.50 Child/$15 Adult)

Your kids will love exploring this interactive Children’s Museum that is only 30 minutes from WaterGrass. They can play at a water table, find buried treasure, charter a boat, make a storm, fight fires, shop at a grocery store and more!

6. Read Your Way to a Free Rays Game!

Visit your local library for a game card, complete the tasks, and earn a free ticket to a Rays game! While you’re at it, join the library’s summer reading club program and earn even more prizes for reading time.

7. Splash the Day Away at Sunwest Park

Spring Fling Tons of Fun for WaterGrass Residents

Residents of WaterGrass love the sense of community at the WaterGrass Club. Throughout the year, the CDD hosts fun gatherings for community members. This past weekend, the WaterGrass Club hosted the Spring Fling, where residents and families had a chance to participate in an egg hunt, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, games and a special visit by the Easter Bunny. This fun event is just one example of the neighborhood fun available at WaterGrass—the community also hosts annual events at the WaterGrass Club for Halloween, the Holiday season, and more.
