Outside of the Museum of Science and Industry

Residents of Seven Oaks have some valuable learning opportunities at their fingertips.   Museums are fun for the whole family and they often have many special events going on during the summer months.  From history to art or science, there is sure to be something the whole family can enjoy.

Salvador Dali Museum was given the only 3-star rating by the Michelin Guide on Florida’s west coast.  It is home to the world’s most comprehensive collection of works by the late Spanish surrealist Salvador Dali.  Every Thursday night between 5 pm and 8 pm the museum offers $5 admission.  Also, if you visit their website here you will find a $2.00 off coupon that you can print off. AAA members can save too if they purchase their ticket at a AAA Auto Club South branch office or at AAA/

Tampa Bay History Center is a great place to learn about how Tampa Bay is shaped into what everyone knows today.  It contains 60,000 square feet of exhibits depicting almost 500 years of recorded history and 12,000 years of human habitation in this region. The museum has many permanent exhibitions to see, as well as temporary ones.  The next temporary museum starts September 10 and is about Florida’s cattle ranching.  Groups of 10 or more will receive group rates and must place a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance.

Museum of Science and Industry, (MOSI), puts fun into advancing public interest, knowledge, and understanding of science, industry, and technology.  Their core ideology is to make science real for people of all ages and backgrounds.  They provide many learning opportunities through programs provided for youth, adult/senior, schools, and many more.  Take a trip now to see one of the exhibits, their IMAX dome theatre, the planetarium, the science works theater, and kids in charge!  They also have their Astronaut Training Adventure open now that has much to offer.
