Be sure to visit the US’s #1 beach this summer, Siesta Key! The whole family will be having fun at the beach and swimming in the crystal clear blue water. With Sarasota being only short trip (around 1 hour) from Wesley Chapel, a beautiful day at the beach is the perfect way to spend the afternoon.

At Siesta Key, you and the kids can splash in the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico and relax on the white sand beaches. This is the perfect place to soak in the summer sun while having a fun family outing. You can build sand castles, swim, look for sea shells, and more. Sarasota has a casual feel to it—here sandals aren’t just allowed, they’re expected.

According to one Yelp user, “This is the sand you only dream about. White, white, white. Soft, soft, soft. It’s like this beach is made of flour. This beach is pristine. And there’s a whole lot of it too…The water is a beautiful clear-blue and extremely calm…A huge plus: concession stands. Brilliant! As for the crowds? Sure, there are tons of people. But there’s enough beach to claim a private enough spot. For sure, one of the top beaches I’ve ever visited.”

Along with the beautiful beaches, Sarasota offers a wide array of restaurants and shops. A marina and boat rental facilities are also available. Float around in a pontoon boat or go through the waves on a high-powered jet ski. Parasailing is also an adventure you can take with the family on your visit. And if you want to explore some more, you can rent bikes and kayaks to see the island on your own.

And if you want to stay for more than a day, Siesta Key offers a variety of hotels, rental houses, and condos.

Siesta Key is the perfect way to spend an afternoon or a few days with the family, having fun in the sun.
