The Porter Campus at Wiregrass Ranch in Wesley Chapel opened for classes today. This opening puts residents of WaterGrass within just a few minutes drive of quality continuing education and college classes. This new campus has a focus on business and healthcare programs to train people to work in the medical and technology industries. The campus is adjacent to The Shops at Wiregrass.

PorterThe new campus is expected to stimulate Wesley Chapel’s already impressive growth. “Wesley Chapel is definitely an economic engine for Pasco and New Tampa,” said Pat Mulieri, a retired former PHCC professor, in a New Tampa Neighborhood News article during the campus construction. “The campus will be a catalyst for growth and development. Businesses need an educated workforce and PHCC can definitely play an important part in providing this.”

Porter Campus features:

  • A classroom building linked by a plaza to the library building, built above a three-story parking deck
  • It boasts four floors—two dedicated solely to health care programs.
  • 10 classrooms
  • Four computer labs
  • Four science labs and eight health labs
  • A full-service library
  • Teaching-Learning Center
  • Career and Testing Center

“The opportunities and potential of our newest campus are truly limitless.
